Pocheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Younghyun) held a commendation ceremony in the city hall's main conference room on October 1, in celebration of the 23rd Pocheon Citizens' Day, to honor individuals who contributed to regional development throughout 2025.

The event was attended by more than 100 people, including Mayor Baek Younghyun, Im Jonghun, Chairman of the Pocheon City Council, Kim Gilju, Secretary General representing National Assemblyman Kim Yongtae, and the awardees.
This year, a total of 101 individuals received commendations: 8 received the Gyeonggi Province Governor's Award, 65 received the Pocheon Mayor's Award, 14 received the Pocheon City Council Chairman's Award, and 14 received the National Assemblyman's Award. The recipients were recognized for their dedicated service in various fields, including community service, the promotion of culture and sports, agricultural development, and revitalization of the local economy.

Mayor Baek Younghyun stated, "The true protagonists who have made Pocheon what it is today are you, the citizens. Meanwhile, the commemorative event for the 23rd Pocheon Citizens' Day is scheduled to be held at Pocheon Sports Complex on October 12, 2025.
