Since 2010, the 'Gumi Chuseok Traditional Performing Arts Festival' has been held outdoors every year during Chuseok to promote the development and popularization of traditional performing arts. It has established itself as the representative holiday festival of Gumi. The event is hosted by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Branch of the Korea Traditional Performing Arts Association (President Park Jeongcheol), with support from Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Gumi City.

On the opening day, October 6, the festival will kick off with an exciting samulnori performance by Kim Deoksu Samulnori and a performance by traditional musician Oh Jeonghae, among others.

On October 7, various professional performing arts groups and local clubs, including Min Jingi Gugak Arts Group, Woorisori Gugak Institute, and Gumi Cultural Center Pungmul Troupe, will present diverse performances. The festival will conclude with a Yeonhui Pangut performance by the Handure Madang Arts Troupe as the closing act.

Additionally, a variety of traditional cultural experiences will be available, such as traditional tea tasting, hanji crafts, natural dyeing, musical instrument experiences, and a mini tightrope walking activity, providing citizens with unique and special opportunities for hands-on participation.

Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho stated, "I hope this Chuseok Traditional Performing Arts Festival will serve as an opportunity to widely promote our unique traditional K-culture," and added, "I look forward to a bountiful Chuseok where all citizens can enjoy and communicate together through various performances and experiences."
