Jeonbuk Province and Iksan City Sign Investment Agreements with Three Companies, Creating 110 Jobs

312 Billion Won Investment Planned by 2027

On October 2, Jeonbuk Province, together with Iksan City, signed investment agreements with three companies: J&L Tech Co., Ltd., PharmaSix Co., Ltd., and MakeThings Co., Ltd.


Under this agreement, the three companies will invest a total of 31.2 billion won in a 25,765 square meter site in the Iksan 3rd and 4th General Industrial Complexes by 2027, and will hire 110 new employees.

The province expects that this agreement will contribute to local job creation and the revitalization of the industrial ecosystem.


J&L Tech Co., Ltd. is a small but strong company recognized for its technology in battery manufacturing and fuel cell separator fields. With this expansion, the company’s cumulative investment will reach 37 billion won and its workforce will grow to 66 employees, up from the existing 25 billion won investment.


PharmaSix Co., Ltd. will invest 11.5 billion won in cosmetics and deodorant production facilities based on advanced production systems, hiring 45 people to actively respond to global demand. MakeThings Co., Ltd. will invest 7.7 billion won to produce improved CBRN protective suits, enhancing competitiveness in the defense sector and creating 50 new jobs.


Jeonbuk Province and Iksan City anticipate that this investment will strengthen the foundation of the advanced materials industry, revitalize the local economy, and lead to the creation of quality jobs.


Kim Jonghun, Vice Governor for Economic Affairs of Jeonbuk Province, said, "This agreement is an important turning point for upgrading Jeonbuk’s industrial structure and securing sustainable growth engines. We will provide comprehensive administrative and financial support so that companies can establish themselves stably and build global competitiveness."
