On October 1, President Lee attended the launch ceremony of the Committee for Popular Culture Exchange held at Exhibition Hall 2 of KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. He toured the K-Culture Experience Zone with Park Jin-young, co-chairman of the Committee and chief producer of JYP Entertainment.
President Lee and Co-chairman Park selected a frame featuring RM at the on-site instant photo booth "Photoism" and took self-portraits. The frame, which superimposed RM's image, created the illusion that they were taking photos together with RM.
Co-chairman Park explained, "RM isn't actually here, but you can take a photo with the President." President Lee responded, "So we just imagine he's here?" The two then posed together, making finger hearts and giving thumbs-up gestures. When President Lee formed a heart shape with both hands, Co-chairman Park burst into laughter.

At the launch ceremony, President Lee stated, "The government will actively support our popular culture so that it can not only bring laughter, emotion, and empathy to people around the world but also become a core industry responsible for the future of the Korean economy." He added, "We will strictly adhere to the principle of 'support without interference' so that autonomy and creativity can be fully exercised in the field."
