Korea Specialty Contractors Association Gyeongbuk Chapter Donates 100 Million Won to Community Chest: "To Improve Living Conditions for Descendants of Independence Activists"

The Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Jeon Wooheon) announced on October 2 that the Gyeongbuk Provincial Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association donated 100 million won for a project to improve the living conditions of descendants of independence activists, in celebration of the association’s 40th anniversary, and held a dedication ceremony.


This donation was made as part of a social contribution initiative to repay the support of the nation and its people, and to carry on the noble spirit of the independence movement.

Korea Specialty Contractors Association Gyeongbuk Chapter Donates 100 Million Won to Community Chest: "To Improve Living Conditions for Descendants of Independence Activists" The Gyeongbuk Provincial Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association is holding a donation ceremony for 100 million won to be used for improving the living conditions of descendants of independence activists.

The dedication ceremony was held at the home of the granddaughter of independence activist Lee Kyuseong in Sinnyung-myeon, Yeongcheon City, and was attended by Choi Jinhyun, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, association executives, Son Byungil, Secretary-General of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest, and representatives from Habitat for Humanity Korea.


This project is being carried out jointly by the Gyeongbuk Provincial Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, which donated 100 million won to the Gyeongbuk Community Chest, and Habitat for Humanity Korea, with the funds being used to improve the living conditions of descendants of independence activists. Support will begin with the home of the granddaughter of independence activist Lee Kyuseong and will be provided sequentially to four households, including three in the Uiseong region.


Choi Jinhyun, Chairman of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, stated, "This project is a social commitment to provide a warm home for the descendants of independence activists and to never forget the noble sacrifice and dedication of the activists," adding, "It is the result of the collective patriotism and social responsibility of more than 5,000 specialty contractors in Gyeongbuk."


Son Byungil, Secretary-General of the Gyeongbuk Community Chest, said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the Gyeongbuk Provincial Chapter of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association for supporting such a meaningful commemorative project on the association’s 40th anniversary," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the valuable donation is used to help stabilize the lives and improve the living conditions of the descendants of independence activists."
