Compassion announced that it will release the episode featuring comedian Kim Hyojin on its YouTube interview series "Story of a World Living by Christ" at 5 p.m. on October 2. This content highlights the lives and acts of giving of Christian celebrities. Kim Hyojin candidly shares stories about the slump she experienced during her heyday after rising to stardom as "Jjomaenan Ippeuni," the process of starting a new life as a pastor's wife after her husband chose the path of ministry, and the meaning of life she realized while raising her youngest child born much later. The episode will also reveal the fateful first meeting with her husband during a trip with fellow cast members after the end of the popular MBC sitcom "Nonstop 3," as well as various unpredictable episodes from the two-night, three-day journey with her colleagues. As a Compassion sponsor, Kim Hyojin will also sincerely talk about the deep emotions and the value of sharing she felt through one-on-one child sponsorship and participating in a vision trip to the Philippines.

SK Happiness Sharing Foundation, the social contribution foundation of SK Group (Chairperson Choi Kiwon), held the "Performance Report Meeting for the Reservation System of Low-Floor Buses for Transportation Vulnerable Groups" and a "Citizen Forum" in the large conference room at Daejeon City Hall on October 1. The "Reservation System for Low-Floor Buses for Transportation Vulnerable Groups" was developed as part of the "Low-Floor Bus Boarding Reservation App Service Project," which has been promoted by the Foundation's Sesang File Team since 2022. To help wheelchair users safely and conveniently use low-floor buses, the "WeBus" app was developed, providing a one-stop service for checking, reserving, boarding, and disembarking low-floor buses. The service is currently being introduced throughout the Daejeon area and in parts of the Sejong area, with plans to expand to more regions in the future.

Since the launch of the "WeBus" app in Daejeon in July 2023, the cumulative number of users reached 1,152 as of the end of August, and the total number of boardings reached 1,745. This is a significant increase compared to the previous annual number of low-floor bus boardings by transportation vulnerable groups in Daejeon, which was only 13. Currently, the service is applied to all 480 low-floor buses in Daejeon, and the response from both citizens and bus drivers has been positive. Moving forward, the app plans to strengthen its integrated "Wheelchair Navigation" service and is also considering adding features that connect with call taxis for people with disabilities.

Lee Sanghyun, head of the Sesang File Team at the Happiness Sharing Foundation, said, "Through the 'Low-Floor Bus Boarding Reservation App Service Project' that we have been pursuing for the past four years, we have confirmed that creating a safe and convenient transportation environment leads to positive changes in the lives of transportation vulnerable groups," adding, "As all Daejeon citizens and various stakeholders from both the public and private sectors are working together, we hope the environment guaranteeing the right to mobility for transportation vulnerable groups will continue to expand."
