Gwangju Bukgu District will select 185 scholarship recipients this year and award a total of approximately 300 million won in scholarships.
On October 1, Bukgu District announced that it will recruit scholarship applicants through the Gwangju Bukgu Scholarship Foundation. The foundation, established in 2008, has continued its program every year, supporting more than 2,700 individuals to date.

Eligible applicants are residents and their children who have been registered in Bukgu District for at least one year as of the announcement date. The recruitment categories are academic excellence, low-income, special talent, and companionship.
