Bank Seeks Convergence-Type Talent
with IT and Digital Capabilities
The National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives (Suhyup) and Suhyup Bank announced on October 1 that they will be holding public recruitment for new employees in the second half of this year.
The National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives will hire a total of 55 people, divided into 46 for the general category and 9 for regional categories. The general category includes three job types: general administration, actuarial and product development, and IT. Candidates suitable for each position will be recruited.
The regional category is divided as follows: insurance underwriting (fishing crew) positions in three regions (Gyeonggi-Chungcheong-Gangwon, Jeonbuk-Jeonnam, and Jeju), and insurance underwriting (fishing vessel) positions in two regions (Gyeonggi-Chungcheong-Gangwon and Gyeongbuk-Gyeongnam). Those selected will be responsible for policy insurance work at each regional headquarters.
There are no restrictions on educational background, age, or other qualifications for any position. Applications will be accepted from October 2 to October 17.
The recruitment process will proceed as follows: announcement of document screening results (October 27), written test (November 1), first interview (November 18-21), final interview (December 2-5), and announcement of final successful candidates (December 19).
Those finally selected will undergo new employee training in early January next year and then be assigned to their respective departments.
Starting with this recruitment, a major-specific written test has been introduced for all job categories. This is intended to assess applicants' fundamental competencies required for the job and to select candidates suitable for each field.
To fulfill social responsibility, special benefits such as additional points will be provided throughout the entire process for applicants with disabilities and those eligible for employment support.
Suhyup Bank will also recruit convergence-type talent with digital capabilities and local talent to help revitalize the regional economy. The recruitment categories are general (grade 3), local talent (grade 3), and IT talent (grade 3). The application deadline is October 15.
There are no restrictions on educational background, age, or gender for applicants, but they must be able to participate in the new employee training scheduled for January 2026 and be able to work normally thereafter.
Additionally, local talent applicants must be able to work in the relevant region for at least five years.
The results of the document screening will be announced in October. After that, candidates will go through a written test covering the National Competency Standards (NCS), financial and economic knowledge, coding skills assessment, online personality test, competency interview, comprehensive aptitude assessment, and personality interview. The final successful candidates will be announced in December 2025.
Holders of professional certifications will be exempted from the written test. In addition, holders of job-related certifications or foreign language scores will receive preferential treatment during the document screening, and outstanding interviewees from the joint financial sector recruitment fair will be exempted from the document screening.
Furthermore, national employment support recipients (veterans) and applicants with disabilities under the Act on the Employment Promotion and Vocational Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities will receive preferential treatment throughout the entire process.
Roh Dongjin, Chairman of the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, stated, "We hope that many young and talented people with not only expertise in fisheries but also a strong spirit of service for fishing communities and fishermen will apply."
