In celebration of the Chuseok holiday, Jeollanam-do will operate a comprehensive Chuseok Holiday Situation Room from October 3 to October 9, staffed by 11 response teams (48 people per day), to ensure that residents and returning visitors can enjoy a safe and comfortable holiday.

To this end, Jeollanam-do has established a comprehensive Chuseok holiday plan, prioritizing the revitalization of the local economy and the safety of its residents above all else.

During the holiday period, Jeollanam-do will maintain a rapid response system for various disasters and safety accidents by operating both the Disaster Situation Room and the 119 General Situation Room 24 hours a day. Safety inspections of 170 multi-use facilities, including traditional markets, large supermarkets, passenger facilities, and cultural venues-where crowds are expected-were completed by September 19.

To address the increased risk of wildfires due to a rise in visitors to the mountains for ancestral rites, the province will operate a Forest Disaster Comprehensive Situation Room during the holiday and strengthen wildfire response systems in cooperation with the Korea Forest Service and other relevant agencies.

To stabilize local prices, a Price Countermeasure Situation Room will be operated jointly with the 22 cities and counties in the province until October 9. Local price supervisors have been designated to conduct on-site inspections, focusing administrative efforts on stabilizing holiday prices.

Jeollanam-do, together with city and county officials, related organizations, and the Price Monitoring Team, will jointly survey the price trends of 21 major holiday products and daily necessities, and closely monitor unfair trading practices and the labeling of origin for agricultural, livestock, and marine products, in order to minimize the financial burden on residents.

Various measures to boost local consumption will also be implemented. In particular, these include: support for easier use of traditional markets; a special Chuseok gift discount event on the online shopping mall 'Namdo Marketplace' with discounts of up to 50%; promotion of local businesses with affordable prices; and marketing campaigns for outstanding products from social economy enterprises-all to help invigorate local consumption.

To ensure that residents and returning visitors can enjoy a healthy holiday, an emergency response system will be activated, including the operation of emergency situation rooms at the provincial and 22 city and county health centers, 45 emergency rooms at medical institutions, as well as 2,082 open hospitals and clinics and 1,804 pharmacies.

Information on hospitals and pharmacies available during the holiday period can be found in the notices section of the Jeollanam-do Government website and on the Emergency Medical Portal (or through the Emergency Medical Information app).

To reduce traffic congestion and prevent accidents, a special traffic countermeasure situation room will be operated during the holiday. Public transportation capacity will be increased, including extended operation of city and rural buses, to minimize inconvenience, and prompt responses will be made to traffic complaints and accidents. For travelers using sea routes, passenger ferry services will be increased, and safety inspections at passenger terminals and related facilities will be strengthened.

Additionally, rapid response systems will be established in various sectors, including energy supply, waste management, water supply, and livestock disease control.

Ko Migyung, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau of Jeollanam-do, stated, "We will operate sector-specific response teams to ensure that residents and returning visitors can spend a safe and comfortable Chuseok holiday, and will respond swiftly to any disasters or safety incidents."
