On October 1, Suncheon City in South Jeolla Province announced that it had signed a win-win sisterhood agreement for local revitalization with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission in the city hall's small conference room on September 30.
This agreement is part of a pan-government initiative designed to help overcome the local economic crisis by promoting regional consumption through mutual cooperation among local governments, central ministries, public institutions, and private companies. It is particularly meaningful as a win-win cooperation model, where participants directly visit the region and engage in consumption activities.
Under the agreement, Suncheon City plans to provide various local specialties and accommodation discount information, while expanding practical cooperation measures. The city expects that, as a result of this sisterhood agreement, visits and spending by institutional employees will naturally increase, revitalizing traditional markets and local commercial districts, and significantly expanding sales channels for local specialties.
A city official stated, "We deeply appreciate the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission for joining us in the spirit of win-win cooperation," adding, "Through this agreement, we aim to effectively boost local consumption and provide visiting employees with opportunities for healing and relaxation amid their busy schedules through thoughtful consideration."
