Festival Runs Through November 2
Gangjin County in South Jeolla Province announced on October 1 that the 10th Gangjin Bay Dancing Reed Festival will be held in the Gangjin Bay area from October 25 to November 2, 2025. Set against the backdrop of Gangjin Bay, where golden waves of reeds create a spectacular autumn scene each year, the festival will feature a variety of programs under the theme of "A Cultural and Ecological Festival Where Nature and People Come Together."

The festival has strengthened its lineup of hands-on and exhibition programs, including eco-friendly upcycling experiences, reed field ecological tours, a promotional center for Gangjin rice and oats, and specialty product sales. The "Vietnamese Day in Gangjin" event will also take place, offering Vietnamese residents and tourists the chance to enjoy an exotic atmosphere through traditional costume and food experiences, as well as performances.
On stage, Kim Eunmi, Tei, and Kim Taewoo, formerly of GOD, will perform, along with a lineup featuring trot, electronic string, and jazz performances that will light up the autumn nights. In the Kids Zone, popular character shows and a variety of play experiences are expected to attract families visiting the festival.
Community participation events such as the Lifelong Learning Festival, Fishermen's Day, and a Ssireum (traditional Korean wrestling) competition will also be held, along with the Jeonnam Governor's Cup Sports for All Mountaineering Competition. The festival's food booths will offer a rich selection of local specialties such as Korean beef and cockles, as well as youth food trucks and a local cuisine hall, providing a diverse array of culinary delights.
