Young lawmakers from both the ruling and opposition parties will gather to compete in the strategy simulation game StarCraft in celebration of Chuseok. On October 1, the Reform New Party announced that on October 5, the day before Chuseok, Reform New Party leader Lee Junseok, Democratic Party lawmaker Mo Kyungjong, and People Power Party lawmaker Kim Jaeseop will hold a StarCraft tournament at a PC bang in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul.

This event was proposed by Lee Junseok and accepted by Mo Kyungjong and Kim Jaeseop. In a press release, Lee Junseok stated, "I hope that seeing lawmakers from both sides competing with smiles rather than confrontation will mark a new beginning for politics," adding, "We aim to develop this into a regular event that promotes harmony in the political sphere and serves as a platform for public engagement."
The lawmakers will participate not only in one-on-one matches but also in team play games with former professional gamers. Former pro gamers such as Kang Min, known as "Dreamer Toss," Lee Yunyeol, known as "Genius Terran," and Park Sungjoon, known as "Fighter," will join the event. The matches from this tournament will be broadcast live on YouTube. The Reform New Party explained that they plan to make a donation to underprivileged groups in the name of the winning team.
