Sharing Warmth Through Food
Sanencheong Welfare Center Also Hosts Holiday Food Sharing Event
Lee Seunghwa, the governor of Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province, volunteered to serve free lunches at the Sanencheong Welfare Center branch in celebration of Chuseok.
On September 30, Governor Lee personally served beef bulgogi and soup to people with disabilities and senior citizens, while also checking in on their well-being.
After the meal, he communicated with residents by offering free coffee at the welfare center's cafeteria.
Governor Lee stated, "It was a meaningful time to share food and connect with residents," adding, "I will continue to do my best to realize welfare policies that the county's residents can truly relate to."
On the same day, the main building of the Sanencheong Welfare Center held a "Chuseok Holiday Food Sharing" event. During the event, more than 30 welfare center users and volunteers made and shared songpyeon and jeon with people with disabilities and local residents.
