Gyeongnam Governor Park Wansu Visits Sancheong Wildfire-Affected Village ... "We Will Support Until the End"

Park Wansu, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, met with residents of the Sancheong area who lost their homes in a large wildfire last March, stayed in temporary housing, and recently moved into newly built houses.


On September 30, Governor Park visited Oegong Village in Sicheon-myeon, Sancheong County, inspected the restoration site of homes damaged by the wildfire, and visited the new houses to personally check for any inconveniences.

At the site, Governor Park stated, "The provincial government will continue to support those who are struggling due to sudden disasters," and added, "We will spare no effort in working with Sancheong County to ensure that the restoration work is completed quickly."


Afterward, Governor Park received a report on the wildfire restoration progress from the Deputy Governor of Sancheong County, inspected the site, and then moved on to Sacheon-eup Market in Sacheon City.

There, he checked the prices of essential goods for the holiday season and communicated with market merchants and citizens.


He also encouraged the use of traditional markets by purchasing fruits, vegetables, and dried seafood with Onnuri gift certificates.


Next, he visited the Danseong Branch of the Sanencheong Welfare Center in Sancheong County, a welfare facility for people with disabilities and the elderly, delivered holiday gifts, and exchanged holiday greetings with residents participating in welfare programs.


Governor Park said, "The greatest meaning of the holiday is to convey warmth to one another," and added, "We will do our best to ensure that all provincial residents can enjoy a bountiful Chuseok without anyone feeling left out."
