City Buses Resume Normal Operations After Five Months
Gwangmyeong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 30 that it has temporarily reopened the accident section's detour road, which had been closed due to the collapse at the Sinansan Line construction site. This reopening comes about five months after the accident in April.

As a result, four bus routes-numbers 2, 12, 3, and 50-that had been detouring since the accident will now return to their original routes.
Hwayoung Transportation's routes 2 and 12 will stop at Gwangmyeong Station Prugio, Bitgaon Elementary School, Chimmok Village, and Hohyeon Village. Samyoung Transportation's route 3 will pass through Gwangmyeong Station Prugio, Bitgaon Elementary School, Chimmok Village, Hohyeon Village, Coca-Cola Logistics Center, Noroo Paint, and Chunghun 2 Bridge stops.
Kyungwon Passenger's route 50 will begin stopping at Gwangmyeong Station Prugio and Bitgaon Elementary School stops starting from October 3.
The city expects that the opening of the temporary road will reduce bus travel times by about 10 minutes and improve bus intervals.
With the restoration of these routes, the temporary "Gwangmyeong Station Prugio" bus stop that had been in use will be closed. The free shuttle bus, which had operated as an alternative means of transportation since the accident, will run only until October 2.
Park Seungwon, Mayor of Gwangmyeong City, stated, "We will prioritize citizen safety and do our utmost to fully restore the accident section and stabilize traffic."
