Financial Crime Prevention Campaign for October
Various Prizes Including Department Store Gift Certificates to Be Awarded
The Financial Supervisory Service announced on October 1 that it will conduct an intensive promotional campaign throughout October to "eradicate financial crimes affecting people's livelihoods and prevent damages."
This campaign aims to eliminate financial fraud related to illegal financial investments, virtual assets, and Ponzi schemes. It will be carried out across various online channels, including the Financial Supervisory Service and Naver websites (via promotional banners), job search platforms, and mobile apps.
The Financial Supervisory Service plans to deliver key information on preventing financial fraud in an easy and engaging way through promotional videos and quiz participation. Financial consumers can check the quiz event post ("Quiz event on illegal financial investments and more!") and participate by clicking "Join the event."
Participants must watch three short promotional videos (totaling less than five minutes) on preventing damages from "illegal financial investments, virtual asset fraud, and Ponzi schemes" and then submit answers to a total of 10 quiz questions (nine true-or-false and one short-answer), which cover essential prevention and response information.
Among those who participate in the quiz, approximately 1,000 people will be randomly selected to receive various prizes, including Hyundai Department Store gift certificates (worth 50,000 won), Starbucks gift certificates (worth 30,000 won), and BBQ Golden Olive Chicken plus cola.
A Financial Supervisory Service official emphasized, "We will continue our efforts to eradicate all types of financial fraud and foster a sound investment culture in the future."
