Improved User Experience
Expansion of Public Data and Life Information
The city of Icheon in Gyeonggi Province announced on September 30 that it has completed the enhancement project for its Living Geographic Information Portal to further improve the convenience of citizens' daily lives and officially launched the service on September 29.
Through this update, Icheon explained that it has improved accessibility for mobile environments and strengthened public data and various life-oriented information by sector.
The revamped portal comprehensively provides information on ▲land data ▲living, cultural tourism, and disaster safety facilities ▲annual aerial photographs ▲pledge maps ▲construction project notifications ▲virtual reality (VR) and drone video information ▲statistical maps ▲job maps ▲map downloads, and more. In particular, citizens can easily check the status of local construction projects at a glance through the construction project notification service, and intuitively access information on various living and cultural facilities directly on the map.
The city plans to further develop additional services and enhance quality by reflecting citizens' feedback through user satisfaction surveys for the Living Geographic Information Portal.
A city official stated, "We will continue to make improvements so that citizens can use the Living Geographic Information Portal more easily and conveniently in the future."
