President Trump made this statement during a joint press conference held after a summit meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, saying, "I thank Prime Minister Netanyahu for agreeing to this plan."

He explained, "If Hamas agrees, my proposal includes the immediate release of all hostages within no more than 72 hours. In this case, the hostages will return immediately, which means an immediate end to the war."

President Trump added, "I have heard that Hamas also wants to reach an agreement. However, there is a possibility that Hamas may reject it. All other parties have already agreed, and ultimately, only Hamas remains. But I believe they will give a positive response."

He went on to say that if Hamas rejects the agreement, "Prime Minister Netanyahu will gain even stronger support in doing what he needs to do," signaling his intention to provide full military support to Israel.
