Highlighting the Value and Industrial Potential of Namdo Cuisine

Lee Hoseong, Chairman of Muan County Council in South Jeolla Province, participated in a relay support campaign wishing for the success of the 2025 Namdo International Gastronomy Industry Expo.
Chairman Lee joined the relay after being nominated by Kim San, Mayor of Muan County, and Park Jongdae, Chairman of Yeongam County Council. The expo will be held from October 1 to 26 at the Mokpo Culture & Arts Center and its surrounding areas.
With the slogan "Taste Nature, Savor the Sea," this expo is Korea's first event dedicated to the gastronomy industry. It will showcase the history and philosophy of Namdo gastronomy, signature dishes from master chefs, food tech, and sustainable foods through various themed halls, including the Main Exhibition Hall, Gastronomy Culture Hall, and Industry Hall.
Mokpo, the host city, is a port city where the sea and land harmoniously meet. With its abundant marine tourism resources, it is considered the ideal location for a successful expo.
Chairman Lee stated, "I hope that the rich culinary culture of Namdo and the outstanding agricultural and marine products of Muan will become widely known both domestically and internationally through this expo," adding, "The Muan County Council will support the successful hosting of the event together with our residents."
