The Presidential Office carried out an organizational restructuring on September 29. Kim Hyunji, Secretary General, was reassigned as Chief of the First Aide Office, while Kim Namjun, former Chief of the First Aide Office, was appointed as spokesperson. Regarding the controversy over Kim Hyunji's attendance at the National Assembly audit, the Presidential Office stated, "Her position is that she will comply if the National Assembly decides according to the regulations."

Chief Presidential Secretary Kang Hunsik announced the organizational restructuring through a written briefing on the same day.

As a result of the restructuring, Kim Hyunji was reassigned from Secretary General, responsible for the internal affairs of the Presidential Office, to Chief of the First Aide Office, who works closely with the President. However, when asked whether this reassignment was intended to avoid her attendance at the National Assembly audit, an official from the Presidential Office explained, "We checked with her, and her position is that she will comply if the National Assembly decides according to the regulations."

Kim Namjun, who previously served as Chief of the First Aide Office, was appointed as spokesperson. With this change, the number of spokespersons in the Presidential Office increased from one, Kang Yujeong, to two. Chief Secretary Kang explained, "By adding another spokesperson, we aim to further enhance communication with the public." The new Secretary General will be Yoon Gicheon, who was previously Chief of the Second Aide Office. However, the position of Chief of the Second Aide Office is expected to remain vacant for the time being until a successor is found.

Additionally, under the Chief of Personnel, the positions of Personnel Secretary and Secretary for the Balanced Personnel System will be established. On September 9, Chief Secretary Kang had previously announced, "We will establish a new Personnel Office to enhance the reliability and transparency of the personnel system in the Presidential Office."

The Digital Communication Secretary, previously under the Senior Secretary for Public Relations and Communication, will now report directly to the Chief Presidential Secretary, thereby expanding digital communication functions. The Policy Public Relations Secretary Office and the National Public Relations Secretary Office will be integrated to improve the efficiency of policy promotion.

Under the Senior Secretary for Political Affairs, a new Secretary for Political Planning will be established to strengthen communication and cooperation with the National Assembly and various political parties, as explained by Chief Secretary Kang. In addition, a National Policy Advisory Group will be established under the direct supervision of the Chief Presidential Secretary to review and respond to national issues with experts from various fields.

Chief Secretary Kang emphasized, "Through this organizational restructuring, the Presidential Office will take a step further to assist the President more efficiently and to become an organization that works with greater competence and responsibility."
