Enjoyed by Students, Local Residents, and Visitors Alike
On September 29, Sunmoon University opened a merchandise shop featuring its official mascot, "Haedali Friends," on the first floor of the main building's Konaking area. The shop is gaining attention not only as a retail space, but also as a new landmark cultural venue where visitors can experience the university brand and engage with the local community.
The merchandise shop offers a variety of products featuring the Sunmoon University mascot, "Haedali Friends," providing unique entertainment for students, faculty, local residents, and external visitors alike.
Beyond its role in promoting the university and strengthening brand identity, the shop is intended to serve as a cultural experience space unique to Sunmoon University, fostering emotional connections with visitors.
In particular, it is expected to become a popular on-campus destination for elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as international tourists, establishing itself as a hub for community engagement.
President Moon Sungje stated, "The Haedali Friends Store is more than just a place to purchase merchandise; it is a special space where students, faculty, local residents, and external visitors can experience the identity and culture of Sunmoon University." He added, "We will continue to pursue various initiatives to enhance the value of our university brand and expand our fan base."
Sunmoon University plans to further enhance the appeal of the merchandise shop by launching limited-edition goods and events for each season, including graduation, entrance ceremonies, Halloween, and Christmas, offering new cultural experiences that resonate with Millennials & Gen Z.
In addition, the university aims to attract both internal and external visitors by offering a range of programs such as merchandise shop visits linked to campus tours, photo zones, and discount events, with the goal of developing the shop into a complex cultural space that everyone who visits the university can enjoy.
