ChildFund Korea (President Hwang Younggi) announced on September 29 that BTS member Jimin and his family have become the first-ever "Green Noble Club Trio Family Members." The Green Noble Club, launched in 2017, is a philanthropic network leading Korea's culture of large-scale donations. Over the past eight years, it has grown into a group of 548 donors.


Jimin joined the Green Noble Club in 2021 after donating 100 million won to ChildFund Korea. In 2022, his father joined the club by supporting ChildFund Korea's "I-LEADER" talent development program. In May of this year, Jimin's younger brother, Park Jihyun, joined the Green Noble Club after completing his military service, making them the first trio of father and sons to be listed together as Green Noble Club members.

Holt Children's Welfare Association (President Shin Misook) held its 70th anniversary ceremony on September 26 at the K-BIZ Hall of the Korea Federation of SMEs in Yeouido, Seoul. The event was attended by more than 400 key figures, donors, volunteers, and ambassadors, who gathered to celebrate the association's journey. Appreciation plaques were presented to those who contributed to the spread of a culture of sharing, and broadcaster and comedian Yoon Taek, who serves as a promotional ambassador, received an appreciation plaque.

In his acceptance speech, Ambassador Yoon Taek said, "Over the past 17 years with Holt Children's Welfare Association, I have deeply learned the value of sharing. I will continue to walk alongside Holt and do my best to help create a warmer society."

Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association (President Lim Chaecheong) visited flood-affected families in Unsan-myeon, Seosan-si, Chungnam Province, which suffered heavy rainfall damage in July, and carried out home repair volunteer work with its employees. The Hope Bridge team removed old and water-damaged wallpaper and flooring, then installed new ones to improve the living environment for the affected families. The family, who had struggled with prolonged dampness and mold since the flood, was able to regain a comfortable and safe living space thanks to the repairs.

ChildFund Korea (President Hwang Younggi), in partnership with Samyang Foods, is providing snacks to 10,000 children in care nationwide for Chuseok. ChildFund Korea offers self-reliance support funds every month to children living in childcare facilities and foster families across the country. As part of this effort, Samyang Foods will donate 10,000 packs of its new product "Maenggu Jjangu" to children in care.


Meanwhile, Samyang Foods will hold the "Happy Samlinyi Contest" starting October 2, under the theme "Supporting the Happiness of All Children in the World." The campaign can be joined through the official Instagram accounts of ChildFund Korea and Samyang Foods, and a portion of the proceeds from "Maenggu Jjangu" will be donated to ChildFund Korea.

The Salvation Army announced that its promotional ambassador, comedian Lee Heekyung, visited Bucheon Sejong Hospital on the 22nd to meet with a child who had undergone heart surgery. Ambassador Lee prepared and decorated props herself, spending special time bringing laughter and encouragement to the recovering child and their family. She said, "When I held the children, I could feel their hearts beating strongly. Thank you for enduring such difficult times so well. I hope the children will continue to run toward their futures with healthy hearts." The child and family expressed great joy and gratitude for the unexpected surprise event.

The Seoul Metropolitan Branch of the Korean Red Cross (President Kwon Younggyu) held its first "Partners Day" on September 26 at the Seoul Branch to promote corporate and organizational social contribution activities. The event was attended by 33 leading domestic companies, public institutions, and organizations, including LG Household & Health Care, Korea Zinc, Export-Import Bank of Korea, Korea Securities Depository, and NongHyup Bank. This was the first time that all social contribution partners of the Red Cross Seoul Branch were invited together.


The day featured presentations and discussions on major humanitarian initiatives of the Red Cross, including disaster relief, safety education, social volunteering, youth Red Cross RCY, and public healthcare, as well as a case study of Korea Zinc's social contribution activities. Various collaborative tasks for solving social issues through positive influence were discussed.

World Vision Korea (President Cho Myunghwan) announced that Minnie, a member of (G)I-DLE, has joined the "Reason" child sponsorship campaign by World Vision Thailand. The "Reason" campaign collects video content sharing the motivations and thoughts of child sponsors, encouraging more people to understand and participate in child sponsorship. Through this campaign, Minnie participated in interviews and video shoots, sharing her reasons for becoming a sponsor and her messages of hope for children. The produced content will be released through various media channels in Thailand, including social media, digital platforms, and outdoor advertising.
