Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmun) announced on September 29 that it recently carried out a medical volunteer activity for local residents at Yangdong Market Station in Seo-gu, Gwangju, in collaboration with Gwangju Christian Nursing University.

During the volunteer event, the two organizations provided body composition measurements, including blood pressure and blood sugar checks, for approximately 160 local residents, including subway passengers. They also offered various healthcare programs such as health consultations by nurses and exercise prescriptions by physical therapists, which received a positive response. In addition, they conducted a public campaign to promote healthy lifestyle practices and safe subway usage to help citizens lead vibrant daily lives.

President Cho Ikmun stated, "Wherever there are citizens, that place can become a stage for our corporation's volunteer work," adding, "We will continue to do our best to make the subway a space of happiness for local residents."
