KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters Holds Customer Appreciation Event to Celebrate Launch of Mokpo-Boseong Line

Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) Gwangju Headquarters announced on September 29 that it held an event on the 27th to present bouquets and souvenirs to the first customers of the Mokpo-Boseong line, coinciding with the departure of the first train (Saemaeul-ho bound for Bujeon) from Mokpo Station.

On that day at Mokpo Station, the train driver’s work report and a customer appreciation event were held, attended by the head of the headquarters, station officials, and local residents. At Yeongam, Haenam, Gangjin, and Jeonnam Jangheung stations, which the train passed through, refreshments and souvenirs were presented to customers using the Mokpo-Boseong line, and some stations also featured promotions for local specialty products.

A representative from the Gwangju Headquarters stated, "The sell-out of the first train on the Mokpo-Boseong line demonstrates how great the anticipation and interest from local residents has been. This opening marks the beginning of a long-awaited era of railways in the southwestern region. We will continue to do our best to provide safe and convenient railway services and contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
