Samsung C&T and Daewoo E&C Begin Construction, Aiming for 'Landmark Complex in Southwestern Seoul'

The consortium of Samsung C&T Corporation and Daewoo Engineering & Construction (Samsung-Daewoo Project Group) has been selected as the final contractor for the redevelopment project in Mullae-dong 4-ga, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. For the first time in Mullae-dong, a super high-rise residential complex with 49 floors is set to be built. Expectations are high for it to become a new landmark in the southwestern region of Seoul.

According to the maintenance industry on September 28, the Mullae-dong 4-ga Redevelopment Maintenance Association confirmed the Samsung-Daewoo Project Group as the final contractor at the general meeting held on September 27. The project site covers 23-6, Mullae-dong 4-ga, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. The large-scale complex will consist of six buildings with a total of 2,176 apartment units, a knowledge industry center, and various welfare facilities. The complex has been named "Mullae Naveen."

Initially, the area was planned for 1,200 units in buildings ranging from six underground to 32 above-ground floors. However, in March, the Seoul Metropolitan Government eased development regulations for quasi-industrial areas, enabling large-scale development. The floor area ratio was increased from the original 250% to a maximum of 517%, and the maximum height was raised to 49 floors. The association has submitted this revised maintenance plan to the Yeongdeungpo District Office, aiming for final approval next year.

The complex is located within a five-minute walk of Mullae Station on Subway Line 2, offering excellent access to public transportation. The area is also well-served by educational facilities such as Mullae Elementary School, Youngmoon Elementary School, and Sinseo Middle School, as well as natural environments like Dorimcheon and Anyangcheon, and convenient amenities including large supermarkets.

The Samsung-Daewoo Project Group explained that the name "Mullae Naveen" combines Nature, Heaven, Navigate, and Adventure, presenting a forward-looking residential vision. The exterior of the complex features diagonal rooftop structures and vertical facade designs, creating a striking urban landscape. Within the complex, a sky community exclusively for residents will offer panoramic views of Dorimcheon, Anyangcheon, and the city. A total of 44 premium community facilities will be provided, including a sky lounge, party room, library, golf lounge, shared office, and swimming pool.

In particular, a large-scale green space of approximately 44,253 square meters (about 13,000 pyeong) will be created throughout the complex. Landscaping art will be incorporated with features such as the 2-kilometer themed walkway "Naveen Roof Way," the water feature "Si?cle Square" in the central plaza, and the indoor garden "Si?cle House."

Inside the units, open terraces and expanded balconies, as well as a cross-ventilation layout, will enhance the sense of openness. Each household will have an average of 2.05 parking spaces, and a "speed ramp" parking system connecting down to the sixth basement level will also be introduced.
