Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced on the 28th that it held the '2025 Samsung Automotive-Component Tech Day (SAT)' for global automotive electronics customers in Tianjin, China.
The event took place over two days, from the 25th to the 26th, with more than 100 participants from over 30 global automotive and automotive electronics companies. Samsung Electro-Mechanics presented trends in the multilayer ceramic capacitor (MLCC) market and its technology roadmap, and introduced next-generation automotive electronics solutions such as high-capacity and high-reliability products.
In particular, the company outlined the development direction of MLCCs in response to the advancement of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and the increasing demand for high-speed charging. In addition, it showcased the advanced manufacturing lines of its Tianjin subsidiary, a core automotive electronics production base, and demonstrated the production process of automotive MLCCs that operate stably even in high-temperature and high-pressure environments, emphasizing its quality competitiveness.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics reported that its automotive MLCC sales reached 1 trillion won in 2024, and explained on the 28th that it plans to expand its business areas this year to include camera modules and semiconductor package substrates.
