Located at Gwangju Center and Private Cloud, Avoided Damage
The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on September 27 that all national heritage information systems are operating normally following the fire at the National Information Resources Service on September 26.
Immediately after the fire, an emergency inspection was conducted, confirming that the Cultural Heritage Administration website, the National Heritage Portal, the National Heritage Geospatial Information Service, the National Heritage Electronic Administration System, and the National Heritage Repair System were all unaffected by the fire.
An official from the Cultural Heritage Administration explained, "All systems are located at the Gwangju Center of the National Information Resources Service and on private cloud services, which allowed them to avoid damage."
However, some services were not operating smoothly, such as certain menus on the Cultural Heritage Administration website linked to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission system, including the e-People petition platform, as well as the address entry menu for application reviews related to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety system on the Intangible Heritage Transmission Support Integrated Platform. Users were notified of these issues through pop-up messages.
Heo Min, Commissioner of the Cultural Heritage Administration, stated, "We will minimize public inconvenience through calm yet swift response and ensure there are no disruptions to public information services."
