According to the Office for Government Policy Coordination, Prime Minister Kim met with Seoul city officials at Yeouido Park near Yeouinaru Station, where the festival will take place, and received a comprehensive report on the festival's safety management plan. Addressing those on site, Kim said, "The Seoul International Fireworks Festival is the largest event in the country, so there are many concerns. Haven't there been past experiences where large gatherings of citizens led to difficult situations? Please make sure such incidents do not happen again."

He further emphasized, "Nothing is more important than prevention," and urged, "With Chuseok approaching, please ensure that the police, district offices, fire departments, and everyone involved are thoroughly prepared so that the public can enjoy the festival with peace of mind."

Kim stated, "A true festival cannot be achieved by spectacular fireworks alone; only when safety is ensured does it become a complete festival. Remember that safety management is not finished until every citizen has safely returned home after the event. Please remain vigilant and do your utmost until the very end."
