Government Work Network 'Onnara System' Down: "Login Unavailable"

Due to a fire in the computer room at the Daejeon headquarters of the National Information Resources Service (NIRS), it has been reported that the government's internal network, the "Onnara System," has become completely inaccessible. This system is used for integrated management of document creation, approval, and other work processes across all government ministries.

Government Work Network 'Onnara System' Down: "Login Unavailable" At around 8:20 PM on the 26th, a lithium battery fire occurred at the National Information Resources Service in Hwaam-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, and the fire department is conducting firefighting operations. 2025.9.27 Yonhap News

According to government officials on September 27, as a result of the fire at the National Information Resources Service the previous day, officials from ministries such as the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport have been unable to access the Onnara System, making it difficult for public servants to carry out their work.

Officials from the Prime Minister's Office are also unable to use the email system, so materials related to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters meeting chaired by Prime Minister Kim Minseok in the morning are being temporarily shared with the media via messengers such as KakaoTalk.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has reportedly notified its staff through an internal announcement that access to the Onnara System will remain unavailable until recovery is complete, and that only limited use of online memos is possible in the meantime.

This situation appears to be common to all government ministries that use the Onnara System. There are concerns that if recovery is not completed over the weekend, the work of all public servants across ministries could be paralyzed on Monday.
