Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority Holds Investment Promotion Briefing for 10 Mid-sized Companies in Japan's Kansai Region

The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority (headed by Kim Byungsam), in cooperation with Daegu City, held the "Daegu-Osaka Business Meetup 2025" on September 26 at 10 a.m. at Grand Front Osaka in Japan, targeting local companies in the Kansai region to attract investment from the area.


This event was organized through collaboration among the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, Daegu City, and Knowledge Capital, a public-private advanced venture cluster in Osaka. It aimed to strengthen business cooperation and mutual understanding between Daegu and Osaka by engaging more than 10 companies from the Kansai region.

In particular, the event focused on key industries in the Kansai region, such as ICT, software, and manufacturing, by introducing Daegu City's industrial infrastructure, investment incentives, and major investment cases. The goal was to discover new investors, expand networks with Japanese companies, and achieve tangible investment attraction results.


Kim Byungsam, head of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "We will actively promote Daegu City's future growth industries and excellent investment environment to potential investors in the Kansai region of Japan, increase interest in our region, and carry out proactive investor relations activities to ensure these efforts lead to substantial investments."
