[Market Focus] Everybot Surges as Google Robotics Draws Attention

As of 10:30 a.m. on September 26, the share price of Everybot on the KOSDAQ market was up 13.27% from the previous day's closing price, reaching 20,650 won. This appears to be due to increased interest in domestic robotics-related stocks following the release of a new robotics product by Google.

On September 25 (local time), Google unveiled its robotics artificial intelligence (AI) agent, "Gemini Robotics 1.5," which is capable of performing multi-step reasoning and actions. This model includes advanced inference capabilities, allowing it to break down complex commands into multiple steps and process them sequentially. In a live demonstration, when a user asked Gemini Robotics to "use my location information to sort the trash," the robot checked San Francisco's recycling guidelines online and then placed the trash in the appropriate bins according to those guidelines.

Everybot, well-known for its robotic vacuum cleaners, is leveraging its strength in robotic autonomous driving technology to pursue a variety of new AI-integrated robotics businesses. In August 2023, the company launched a serving robot. Last year, it introduced new cleaning robot products, including the Edge Window window-type robotic vacuum, the AI all-in-one robotic vacuum Q9, the bedding robotic vacuum X1, and the commercial cleaning robot T1. In March of this year, Everybot signed a contract with SK Intellix to develop an autonomous driving air purifier.

The company stated, "Everybot has a particular strength in SLAM (Simultaneous Localization And Mapping) technology for AI service robot autonomous driving," adding, "We are expanding our business scope from a focus on robotic vacuum cleaners to becoming a specialized company in AI autonomous service robots. For example, we are responsible for developing the autonomous driving module for the kids care robot in a national design project led by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy."
