On September 26, as the KOSPI fell by nearly 2% and the won-dollar exchange rate rose by more than 10 won, monitors in the Hana Bank dealing room in Jung-gu, Seoul displayed figures for the KOSPI and the won-dollar exchange rate. On this day, the KOSPI opened at 3,440.39, down 0.89% from the previous session; the KOSDAQ index started at 847.67, down 0.56%; and the won-dollar exchange rate began at 1,409.0 won, up 8.4 won.
