Promotional Booth Showcasing Urban Regeneration Policy Achievements
The Gochang County Urban Regeneration Support Center operated a promotional booth at the "2025 Korea Urban and Regional Innovation Industry Expo," held in Samcheok, Gangwon Province from September 24 to 27, to showcase its urban regeneration policies and achievements.
According to the center on the 26th, the booth was set up under the theme "Gochang Urban Regeneration: Reviving People and Spaces Together." It shared the progress and plans for transforming into new urban hubs, focusing on the Moyangseong Village Urban Regeneration Project, the Old Downtown Revitalization Project, and the Terminal Innovation District Initiative.
In Moyangseong Village, the center introduced the creation of traditional walls, the operation of a hanok guesthouse, and the revitalization of the local community through "Everyone's Street" and "Everyone's House." In the old downtown area, it highlighted the establishment of cultural and educational spaces centered around the Eoulrim Center and the Sound Healing Center project.
The newly selected "Our Neighborhood Revitalization-Type Gyochon Village Project" was also promoted, highlighting various achievements and future strategies such as the utilization of vacant houses, home repair support, alleyway improvement, and the expansion of resident-led programs.
