On the afternoon of the 25th, a post titled "President Lee Jaemyung Chuseok Gift Set for Sale" was uploaded to the used item trading platform Danggeun Market. The seller stated, "It contains specialty products from all eight provinces and two custom presidential watches," and listed the item for 350,000 won. The listing is currently marked as "reserved." This comes just two days after the Presidential Office released the details of the holiday gift set.
On the 23rd, the Presidential Office revealed the holiday gifts prepared for this Chuseok. The gifts are being delivered to key figures from various sectors, national heroes, families of disaster victims, and socially disadvantaged groups. This year, in line with the government's policy to eradicate industrial accidents, the gifts are also being provided for the first time to bereaved families of industrial accident victims.
The gift set includes a commemorative presidential watch, specialty products from all eight provinces, and Korean rice. The items include barley shrimp from the West Sea (Incheon and Gyeonggi), seaweed from Hongseong in South Chungcheong, sun-dried salt from Gochang in North Jeolla, seaweed from Wando in South Jeolla, hijiki from Jeju, kelp from Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang, dried squid from Pohang in North Gyeongsang, and stone seaweed from Samcheok in Gangwon.

The presidential holiday gift set has been considered a "popular item in the secondhand market" every year. Due to their commemorative nature, the watches and specialty product sets are actively traded, even at relatively high prices. This year as well, since there are no restrictions on trading these items, it is expected that many will appear as "holiday tech" listings as soon as deliveries are completed.
Similar cases have occurred in the past. During Chuseok in 2023, multiple posts titled "President Yoon Sukyeol Chuseok Gift Set" appeared on Danggeun Market and Bungaejangter. The sets at that time included gochujang from Sunchang in North Jeolla, doenjang from Yangpyeong in Gyeonggi, sesame oil from Yecheon in North Gyeongsang, soy sauce from Yeongwol in Gangwon, and perilla oil from Taean in South Chungcheong. The selling prices ranged from 170,000 to 300,000 won. During the Lunar New Year holiday in the same year, President Yoon's first holiday gift set since taking office was also traded for 200,000 to 300,000 won.
Meanwhile, on the 25th, President Lee Jaemyung announced that he would send Chuseok gifts to former presidents and their spouses ahead of the holiday. Lee Sunho, Secretary for Local Autonomy Development at the Presidential Office, will personally visit the residences of former presidents to deliver the gifts on behalf of President Lee. The gifts will be delivered to former presidents Moon Jaein, Park Geunhye, and Lee Myungbak, as well as to Kwon Yangsook, the wife of the late former president Roh Moohyun. However, former president Yoon Sukyeol and his wife, who are currently imprisoned on charges including insurrection and stock price manipulation, are excluded.
