Jeonbuk Province to Participate in 'Tourism Expo Japan' to Promote Tourism Resources

Over 1,300 Companies from Around the World Participate

Jeonbuk Province will participate in the "Tourism Expo Japan 2025," which will be held in Nagoya, Japan, from the 25th to the 28th, to actively promote the tourism resources of its 14 cities and counties.

According to the province on the 25th, this expo is Japan's largest travel fair, hosted by the Japan Travel and Tourism Association and the Japan National Tourism Organization, and serves as a venue for tourism exchange with participation from over 1,300 companies and organizations from around the world.

As it offers a comprehensive overview of the latest travel trends and tourism products, it draws significant attention not only from local Japanese tourists but also from the global travel industry.

The province plans to introduce resources favored by Japanese and international tourists, such as drama filming locations, local cuisine, and major festivals, and will actively seek to commercialize tourism products through networking with local travel agencies.

As of the end of July this year, Japanese visitors accounted for 3.9% (62,391 people) of all foreign tourists to Jeonbuk, ranking fifth, so this expo is expected to serve as a stepping stone to attract more Japanese tourists.

In addition, a digital stamp rally in conjunction with the Korea Promotion Pavilion will be operated to encourage visitors to naturally visit the Jeonbuk Promotion Pavilion.

In particular, during the event, the Jeonbuk Tourism Association will hold an SNS follow event and on-site activities such as giving away traditional Korean paper fans, thereby increasing participation. Through these efforts, the province also aims to achieve ongoing online promotional effects.

Lee Jeongseok, Director of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the province, stated, "Through our participation in this expo, we will widely promote the appeal of Jeonbuk's tourism and create a tourism experience in Jeonbuk that satisfies international visitors."
