100% Pass Rate for Four Consecutive Sessions
The Department of Medical Skin Beauty at Dong-Eui Science University (President Kim Youngdo) recently achieved a 100% pass rate for the fourth consecutive time, with all 13 candidates passing the external evaluation of the National Technical Qualification Exam for Beauticians (Skin) based on the process evaluation system.
The 'process evaluation-based qualification' is a national technical qualification system introduced by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. It is designed to foster practical talent based on the National Competency Standards (NCS). After completing an approved education and training program and achieving a score of 80 or higher in both internal and external assessments, candidates are awarded a national technical qualification.
The Department of Medical Skin Beauty has maintained its record of all candidates passing for four consecutive sessions through systematic practical training and thorough exam preparation. This result demonstrates that the department's educational capabilities and operational system are firmly established.
In particular, Dong-Eui Science University's Department of Medical Skin Beauty is the first in the Busan region to cultivate a new professional field called 'Beauty Healthcare Coordinator,' which integrates medical and beauty disciplines. Leveraging its accumulated educational infrastructure and expertise, the department is nurturing specialists in the anti-aging and medical tourism industries.
Graduates who have obtained qualifications through the process evaluation system are highly adaptable to real-world settings and have received positive evaluations from companies. This success is also attributed to the department's active operation of long-term field training and early employment programs, which have produced industry-ready professionals.
Department head Jang Junghyun stated, "Achieving a 100% pass rate for four consecutive sessions is a valuable result born from the students' efforts and the dedication of the faculty. We will continue to do our best to nurture practical professionals required by the industry."
Successful candidate Park Minju (second-year student in the Department of Medical Skin Beauty) said, "I am delighted that the careful guidance of the professors and the efforts made together with my peers have borne fruit. I want to grow into an even more specialized skin beauty expert."
The Department of Medical Skin Beauty at Dong-Eui Science University is the only department in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions designated as a process evaluation-based qualification operating institution for beauticians (skin).
