An incident occurred in which a Korean man assaulted a Taiwanese man on a street in Taiwan, having mistaken the design on the Taiwanese man's T-shirt for the Rising Sun Flag. The Korean man, who was reportedly intoxicated at the time, repeatedly asked, "Do you know what's on your back?" before slapping the Taiwanese man.

According to Taiwan TVBS on September 22 (local time), the Korean man, identified as Mr. A, has been charged and is under investigation for assaulting the Taiwanese man, identified as Mr. B. While intoxicated, Mr. A grabbed Mr. B by the collar and slapped him, claiming that the red radial pattern on Mr. B's T-shirt resembled the Japanese Rising Sun Flag.

Mr. B, the victim, explained that he was Taiwanese and did not know the meaning of the design, but Mr. A reportedly insisted, "The pattern on this shirt is a symbol of Japanese Nazis," and slapped him again. Eventually, Mr. B ran to the police station to seek help, and Mr. A was taken into custody by the police. The T-shirt Mr. B was wearing was actually his high school beatbox club uniform.

According to local police, Mr. A had been living in Taiwan for a long time as a "Taiwanese son-in-law." When police arrived, Mr. A refused to answer questions and repeatedly said in Korean, "I want to go home." After sobering up, he claimed he had no memory of the incident.

After Mr. B completed a medical examination, the police officially filed a complaint, and Mr. A was transferred to the Taipei District Prosecutors' Office for further investigation following his interrogation.
