KPGA Tour "Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyungjoo Invitational" Opens

Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance announced that it will co-host the "Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyungjoo Invitational" golf tournament with the Choi Kyungjoo Welfare Foundation from September 25 to 28 at the Ferrum Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province.

This year’s tournament marks both the 70th anniversary of Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance and the 10th tournament held in collaboration with Choi Kyungjoo. To commemorate these milestones, a "70th Anniversary Signature Board" and a "10-Year Partnership Memorial Hall" will be installed at the venue.

The Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyungjoo Invitational is known as a tournament dedicated to supporting players, and this year is no exception. All 126 participating players will receive entry fees and meal support, and the official accommodation (Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Hi-Vision Center) will be provided free of charge for both players and caddies. Instead of hosting a pro-am event, two official practice days will be held to help players maintain peak performance.

This year’s tournament will also see the return of Park Sungguk, the 2018 champion, who made a triumphant comeback by securing his second tour victory in seven years as an alternate at last week's Golfzon Open in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province. He will now compete at this week’s Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyungjoo Invitational.

For spectators visiting the tournament, a separate parking lot has been prepared just five minutes from the venue, with shuttle buses provided for convenient access. Souvenirs such as backpacks, hats, and portable cushions will also be distributed.

The event will feature a gallery plaza with food and rest areas, a stamp tour and prize draws on the course, and a variety of other entertainment options for visitors to enjoy.

A representative from Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance stated, "In keeping with the tournament’s reputation as one dedicated to players, we have meticulously prepared so that players can focus on their game and their families can focus on supporting them. We hope many fans will visit the venue to witness the players’ outstanding shots up close."
