On September 24, Nam Yangho, former director of the Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Institute, was inaugurated as the director of the Gyeonggi Social Economy Center.
Director Nam Yangho has previously served as a senior researcher at the Management Strategy Office of Samsung Economic Research Institute, secretary for agriculture, fisheries, and food at the Presidential Office of Economic Affairs, president of Korea National College of Agriculture and Fisheries, director of the Human Resources Development Center at the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and director of the Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Institute.

In his inaugural address, Director Nam Yangho stated, "The social economy is an important means to alleviate polarization and inequality and to lead sustainable community development," adding, "I will do my best to build a social economy ecosystem and deliver tangible results that all residents of Gyeonggi Province can experience."
The Gyeonggi Social Economy Center is an institution responsible for nurturing social economy organizations, addressing social and environmental issues, and supporting investment, education, research, and networking. It was established in December 2022.
