This expo, hosted by the National Assembly, was held under the themes of overcoming the climate crisis, responding to regional extinction, and revitalizing the local economy. Various stakeholders gathered to share outstanding legislative and policy cases and to collect public opinions.
Since being designated as a "Leading Area for the Education Development Special Zone" by the Ministry of Education on July 30 last year, Paju City has been dedicated to improving the educational environment under the vision of "Talent nurtured by the community, a community nurtured by talent."
In particular, the city highlighted its distinctive initiatives, such as "Paprika," the nation’s first student-circulating school bus system; "Paarang School," a Paju-style integrated care model connecting daycare centers, kindergartens, and elementary schools; and "Creative Experiential Activities," which allow middle school students to explore career paths through activities like climbing at youth centers outside the classroom during school hours. Through these, Paju City promoted its student-centered educational innovation and regionally tailored policy achievements nationwide.
At the on-site promotional space, Paju City also exhibited informational materials about its customized educational programs and engaged directly with citizens, allowing visitors to see the current status and examples of Paju’s educational initiatives firsthand.
Kim Kyoungil, Mayor of Paju City, stated, "A virtuous cycle in which talent nurtured in the Education Development Special Zone leads the region’s growth is the solid foundation of Paju City," adding, "Through our participation in this expo, we will widely promote Paju’s education policies and realize the vision of Paju as an educational city."
