The Korea Food Manufacturing Cooperative Association held a "Sharing Love Food Event for the Chuseok Holiday" at 11 a.m. on September 23 at Seongnam City Hall Plaza.

Twenty-seven food companies, including member companies such as Pangmani, Gourmet Bagel, Joy Food, Aromaline, CJ Seafood, and Dongwon F&B, participated in the food donation.

Each company brought and donated food items they produce or handle, such as bread, snacks, dried seaweed, processed meats, rice, ramen, and beverages.

On that day, 70 people, including volunteers, relevant public officials, and company employees, distributed the donated food by company and sent food worth 2 million to 4 million won to each facility for the elderly, children, people with disabilities, women, the homeless, and multicultural facilities.

A city official said, "It is very meaningful that we have been able to continue sharing activities with local food companies," adding, "We expect that those using welfare facilities will enjoy a bountiful and warm Chuseok holiday."

Since 2006, the Korea Food Manufacturing Cooperative Association has held food sharing events with donations from member companies every Lunar New Year and Chuseok, and has donated a total of 2.1 billion won worth of food to social welfare facilities in the Seongnam area, including this year.

Chun Sunguk, president of the association, said, "We will continue to take the lead in building a community that stands together with neighbors in need."
