Season 2 Launched After Early Conclusion of First Event for Chuseok
Gift Vouchers for 300 Donors Contributing Over 100,000 Won
Mokpo City in South Jeolla Province is launching the "Happy Chuseok~ Mokpo Hometown Love Donation Appreciation Event Season 2" to continue the enthusiasm for participation in the Hometown Love Donation Program during the Chuseok holiday.
The city announced that, following the overwhelming support from donors which led to the early conclusion of the first event in just three days since it began on the 16th, a second event has been organized as a follow-up.
This event is being held to commemorate the "2025 Mokpo Port Festival," which will take place from the 26th to the 28th. The number of participants has been increased from the previous 200 to 300, allowing more donors to benefit from the event.
Participation is simple. From the 23rd, anyone who donates at least 100,000 won to the Mokpo Hometown Love Donation Program and applies for a thank-you gift will be automatically entered. The first 300 participants will receive a Baedal Minjok mobile voucher worth 10,000 won.
During the festival, those who visit the Hometown Love promotional booth and make an on-site donation can receive either a Mokpo Love gift certificate or a Baedal Minjok mobile voucher, both worth 10,000 won, with no limit on the number of recipients. However, individuals are restricted from receiving benefits from both events simultaneously. A city official stated, "We deeply appreciate the warm interest and participation shown ahead of Chuseok," and added, "We hope that, through Season 2, which was prepared in response to the support for the first event, we can share the meaning and benefits of hometown love with even more people."
Meanwhile, the city plans to operate a promotional booth during the "2025 Mokpo Port Festival" held at Mokpo Port and Samhakdo, and will actively promote the Hometown Love Donation Program to expand participation and raise awareness.
