Message: "Change Begins with People, Not Systems"
Promoting Communication and Unity
On September 23, Yangsan City in South Gyeongsang Province presented the musical "People Who Bring Change" at the Yangsan Culture and Arts Center Grand Theater for all city employees, aiming to improve organizational culture.
This performance was organized to enhance problem-solving abilities by fostering communication and understanding between Millennials & Gen Z and older generations within the public sector, and to promote innovation in organizational culture through coexistence and cooperation.
The musical "People Who Bring Change" realistically depicted generational differences in work styles faced by the modern public sector, avoidance of responsibility in difficult situations, and decreased work efficiency caused by formal communication. In particular, it delivered the core message that "change begins with people, not systems," by illustrating the process of overcoming these challenges.
Kim Shinho, Deputy Mayor of Yangsan City, stated, "By providing an opportunity for natural empathy and reflection through culture and the arts, I hope employees will recognize the need for change themselves and use this as a starting point to create a better organizational culture."
Yangsan City plans to continue pursuing a variety of activities to improve organizational culture and provide better administrative services to its citizens.
