Hanwha General Insurance Hosts Singles Event, 23 Couples Matched

Co-hosted "Excitement, Book Night" with Seoul City

Hanwha General Insurance announced on the 23rd that it successfully concluded the singles event "Excitement, Book Night," which was held at the Hanwha General Insurance Hannam Building in Seoul on the 20th.

This event, designed to support young people in forming healthy relationships, took place in a library-inspired space where participants could share their preferences and interact. At the venue, 23 couples were matched, resulting in a matching rate of 46%.

The event attracted 3,568 applicants for 100 available spots, recording the highest competition rate ever for a singles event hosted by Seoul City at 35.6 to 1, demonstrating strong interest among young people. Notably, 2,588 applicants (73%) were women. This is seen as a result of Hanwha General Insurance, a leading partner in women's wellness, adding a carefully curated program based on reading preferences to the reliable matchmaking event organized by Seoul City, effectively addressing the needs of female participants.

Participants naturally communicated with each other through books in a space that captured the feeling of autumn. Various programs, including blind dates reflecting participants' reading preferences from a pre-event survey, distribution of profile books followed by age group dinners, genre-based groupings for novels and one-on-one conversations, and free dating sessions, were offered to create a comfortable atmosphere for conversation.

One participant, identified as Jung, shared, "Having a common topic like books made it easy to start conversations, so even though it was my first time participating, I felt more comfortable than expected. It was a special experience that is hard to have in everyday life."

Hanwha General Insurance will provide all matched couples with tickets to the "Seoul International Fireworks Festival" to be held on the 27th, supporting a special "after-date" for them. Previously, through the women's content platform "Signature Library," the company helped participants prepare their date outfits. This reflects Hanwha General Insurance's commitment to carefully supporting young people's journey from before the event to after it concludes.

Lee Yujin, Head of IMC at Hanwha General Insurance's Marketing Division, said, "This event became a venue where young people could naturally form new connections by sharing their tastes through books. We will continue to expand programs that support healthy daily lives and personal growth for young people, based on their diverse interests."
