Over 10,000 Participants Join Within a Day of Pre-Event Launch
Hands-On Experience at Chuncheon's Top Attractions and Festival Venues
Nationwide Attention Drawn by Interactive Digital Program
The "Stamp Challenge" program, introduced as a pre-event for the 2025 Chuncheon Makguksu Dakgalbi Festival-Gangwon Province Chuncheon's signature culinary festival-has attracted significant attention, with approximately 10,000 participants joining just one day after its release.
The Stamp Challenge is a program linked to the main festival, which will be held from October 16 to 19 along the Gongjicheon Trail in Chuncheon. Participants can collect stamps by visiting major tourist attractions and festival venues in Chuncheon, earning rewards in the process. The program is designed to combine the enjoyment of an offline festival with a digital platform, making it easy and fun for people of all ages to participate.
Notably, this program goes beyond a simple event and stands out as a participatory program connected to walking activities. Participants can easily join using their smartphones, collecting stamps as they walk along designated courses, thereby enjoying both health benefits and entertainment.
The Stamp Challenge is being recognized as a new model that combines an online platform-based challenge with the offline festival experience, making it a participatory festival program that both citizens and tourists can enjoy. Achieving 10,000 participants in just one day, even though it is a pre-event that began a month before the official opening, demonstrates the nationwide recognition and growth potential of Chuncheon's culinary festival.
A Chuncheon City official stated, "We are preparing a variety of participatory programs to elevate Chuncheon's food and culture into a global culinary festival that goes beyond makguksu and dakgalbi. We hope that the Stamp Challenge will become a new form of content that both citizens and tourists can enjoy, and we plan to continue introducing new content in the future."
