Debut of Unmanned Firefighting Robot and Port AGV
Unveiling of Dedicated Press Equipment for Electric Vehicles
Hyundai Rotem announced on September 23 that it will participate in the "2025 Asia Machinery & Manufacturing Industry Expo (AMXPO)" held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
This exhibition, which runs until the 26th, features participation from over 140 companies sharing advanced manufacturing technologies. Hyundai Rotem has set up a booth under the themes of unmanned systems, electrification, and eco-friendliness, showcasing AI-based unmanned vehicles such as unmanned firefighting robots and automated guided vehicles (AGVs) for ports.
The unmanned firefighting robot is being jointly developed by Hyundai Motor Group and the National Fire Agency, based on the multipurpose unmanned vehicle "HR-Sherpa." It is deployed to hazardous sites to carry out autonomous firefighting operations. The port AGV has been supplied to Busan New Port and Gwangyang Port, where it automatically transports containers and is enhancing competitiveness by increasing the localization rate.
In the press equipment exhibition hall, various machines such as a stacking press for electric vehicle core production, a battery can press, and a press transfer device are on display. These pieces of equipment have attracted attention at global exhibitions and are expected to serve as growth engines as the electric vehicle market expands.
In the eco-friendly infrastructure zone, a large hydrogen diorama that was unveiled last year at the railway exhibition in Berlin, Germany, is being exhibited, presenting a future vision encompassing everything from hydrogen production to mobility. In addition, various supply records for steelmaking facilities and cranes are also being introduced.
A Hyundai Rotem official stated, "We have created a comprehensive exhibition space so that visitors can directly experience the technological capabilities of next-generation infrastructure projects," adding, "Based on our accumulated manufacturing technology, we will take the lead in the future mobility market."
