Goseong County in South Gyeongsang Province recently concluded the 'Goseong Hope Dream Concert,' held at the outdoor special stage of the main sports complex, with enthusiastic support from approximately 9,000 attendees.
The concert, held on September 19, went beyond a simple performance to establish itself as a comprehensive festival encompassing the local economy, culture, and tourism, leaving a deep impression on the audience.
Now in its fifth year, this concert featured leading artists from the 1970s and 1980s music scene, Byun Jinseop and Lee Jaesung, who delivered nostalgic and moving performances that resonated across generations. In addition, Park Jihyun, who has recently risen to prominence as a top trot singer, along with Son Bina, Cheon Rokdam, Choon Gil, and Han Bom-who have gained attention through shows such as Mister Trot-delivered spectacular performances that drew cheers from the audience.
On this day, 9,000 spectators attended the concert, enjoying performances by popular singers and taking a break from their daily routines for a joyful experience.
At the venue, a booth for the Dinosaur Land Shopping Mall was operated to promote and sell local specialties from Goseong. County Governor Lee Sanggeun took the stage with National Assemblyman Jeong Jeomsik and Goseong County Council Chairman Choi Eulseok to promote the 2025 Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo, as well as high-quality seafood such as scallops and single oysters, and encouraged many tourists to visit Goseong.
Governor Lee Sanggeun stated, "This year, we prepared the concert at a larger venue than last year so that more residents could enjoy the performance in person. I hope this event has brought new energy to the lives of our citizens during these challenging times," adding, "I am grateful for everyone's cooperation in ensuring that the event was held safely despite the large turnout."
Meanwhile, Goseong County plans to host the 2025 Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo under the theme "Dancing with Dinosaurs" at Danghangpo Tourist Site from October 1 to November 9. The county aims to provide visitors with special autumn memories through a variety of interactive content and performances.
