Donghae City to Host Isekai Fantasy Adventure
with Purple Asta Chrysanthemums at Mureung Byeolyucheonji, September 26-28
Donghae City in Gangwon Province announced on September 23 that it will host the '1st Asta Event' at Mureung Byeolyucheonji for three days, from September 26 to 28.
This event will be held in a garden where purple Asta chrysanthemums, the symbolic color of Mureung Byeolyucheonji, are in full bloom. It features an isekai fantasy concept, where visitors become adventurers in a game and complete missions.
The storyline of the event unfolds as follows: "After nature is destroyed by humans, the elf tribe that has protected the forest for ages and ancient golems reveal themselves. Participants become adventurers who must find the 'Asta Spirit Stone' in the Mureung Byeolddeul Asta Garden to restore the forest to its original state." Participants can explore the site, complete assigned missions, and enjoy a unique experience where they receive rewards upon accomplishing their tasks.
Hands-on programs include making baby golems, soap making, and elf archery. Visitors can also relax at the Indian tents and the Byeolmaru Rest Area. Additionally, the 'Mungegurum Adventure' net playground and water leisure equipment will be available at all times, providing a variety of activities for families.
In particular, while the hands-on programs will not operate during the evenings of September 26 and 27, visitors can enjoy the mystical atmosphere of the Asta Garden illuminated by gentle lights, offering a dreamlike experience distinct from the daytime.
Kim Soonki, head of the Mureung Strategy Division, stated, "The Asta Event is a pilot event designed to establish a signature autumn festival following the Lavender Festival. We aim to create a space that can be enjoyed year-round through various events in the future," adding, "Although this is our first experimental event, we are preparing to ensure that everyone can be satisfied by offering a unique experience where the fantasy world and reality blend together."
