[Invest&Law] Law Firm Robax Recruits "Special Investigation Expert" Na Myup... Strengthening Corporate, Financial, and IT Practices Myoyeop, partner attorney at Law Firm Robex.

Former Suwon High Prosecutors' Office prosecutor Na Myup, renowned for his expertise in special investigations (Judicial Research and Training Institute, 34th class), has joined Law Firm Robax (Managing Partners Kim Kidong and Lee Dongyeol). Robax is a law firm known for bringing together former prosecutors with a background in special investigations, and with Attorney Na's addition, the firm is expected to maximize its synergy in corporate and financial cases.

According to the legal community on September 24, Robax recruited Attorney Na as a partner to strengthen its capabilities in the corporate, financial, and IT sectors. Hailing from Mokpo, Jeollanam-do, Attorney Na graduated from Seoul Sejong High School and Yonsei University with a degree in Political Science and Diplomacy. After being appointed as a prosecutor in 2005, he began his career at the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office and served at various offices including the Mokpo Branch of the Gwangju District Prosecutors' Office, Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office, Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office, and Busan District Prosecutors' Office.

During his 20-year tenure as a prosecutor, Attorney Na was regularly assigned to major economic crime investigation teams such as the Central Investigation Bureau's Savings Bank Corruption Joint Investigation Team, the Nuclear Power Plant Corruption Investigation Team, and the Supreme Prosecutors' Office Special Investigation Team for Corruption Crimes, focusing on large-scale corporate and financial cases. He also served as a research prosecutor in the Supreme Prosecutors' Office's Anti-Corruption and Violent Crime Division, which oversaw and supported anti-corruption and major crime investigations nationwide. In recognition of his expertise, he was seconded as a legal advisor to the Financial Services Commission.

In particular, Attorney Na played a leading role in the Nuclear Power Plant Corruption Investigation Team and was selected as a "Blue Belt" certified specialist in the energy sector in 2015. While serving in the Special Investigation Team for Corruption Crimes, he led the investigation and prosecution of the Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering accounting fraud case, the largest accounting fraud committed by a single company, resulting in heavy sentences for top executives.

The Special Investigation Team for Corruption Crimes, established after the abolition of the Central Investigation Bureau, prosecuted more than 20 executives and related individuals in the multi-trillion won Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering accounting fraud case. All those indicted were ultimately found guilty by the Supreme Court, marking a significant achievement.

Managing Partner Kim Kidong stated, "I had the opportunity to work with Attorney Na when I served as the head of the Nuclear Power Plant Corruption Investigation Team and the Special Investigation Team for Corruption Crimes. Attorney Na's investigative capabilities have already been proven, and with his addition, Robax will be able to provide even more specialized legal services as an expert law firm in the corporate, financial, and IT sectors."
