Recruitment of Vice President Jack Horng from Silicon Valley
Establishing a Four-Leader Sales Structure Across Key Global Hubs
DeepX, an on-device artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductor company, has further strengthened its global marketing organization by recruiting a sales expert from Silicon Valley, USA. By securing sales leaders for each strategic region-including the domestic market as well as North America, Europe, and Asia-the company is now positioned to significantly expand its sales and reinforce its presence in the supply chain.
According to the semiconductor industry on September 23, DeepX recently appointed Jack Horng, a semiconductor sales expert from Silicon Valley, as vice president. Vice President Horng is a veteran who has led marketing for over 20 years, having served as vice president of sales at Indie Semiconductor and GEO Semiconductor in the United States.

The companies where he worked are all fabless firms designing automotive semiconductors for on-device and edge environments, and have built a track record in autonomous driving as well as camera and sensor sectors. Their major clients have included BMW, Ford, Volkswagen, and Hyundai Motor Company. As DeepX is emerging as a leader in neural processing unit (NPU)-based on-device AI chips, Vice President Horng's experience is expected to play a crucial role in securing business channels in the North American market and beyond.
Notably, while at GEO, Vice President Horng pioneered the market from the startup stage when there were no sales, growing annual revenue to approximately 50 million dollars. He also played a leading role in the acquisition of GEO by Indie Semiconductor.
At Indie, he targeted next-generation application markets such as automotive, robotics, and smart cameras, achieving more than 200 mass production adoptions by client companies in the camera sensing processor sector alone. He recorded shipments of over 50 million components. His hands-on experience managing the ecosystem-including distributors, module manufacturers, sensor and lens suppliers-is also a significant strength.
A DeepX representative stated, "He is someone who has directly experienced everything from building teams, marketing, business strategy, and customer acquisition at an early-stage startup with no revenue, to being responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars in sales at a global top-tier system semiconductor company. With his addition, DeepX's global market expansion will accelerate even further."
Vice President Jack Horng said, "At Computex in Taipei, Taiwan this May, I was able to directly witness DeepX's technological capabilities and the evaluations from its customers, which convinced me of its potential to grow into a global top-tier fabless company. I intend to leverage the experience I gained at GEO and Indie to help DeepX lead the on-device AI era."

With Vice President Horng joining the team, DeepX is completing its global sales organization by appointing strong marketing leaders at each major base. The company plans to pursue aggressive market expansion through experts whose capabilities have been proven on the global stage.
First, the North American market is led by Jae Doo Jeon, Head of the U.S. Branch (Executive Director). He has led technical marketing and built a customer network for over 20 years at companies such as ST-Ericsson, Texas Instruments, and NXP, growing annual revenue to around 300 million dollars. The European market is overseen by Amir Sherman, Head of Europe, who worked for 20 years at Arrow, the world’s leading electronic components distributor, leading global system semiconductor sales and revenue. The domestic market is managed by Sanggyun Kang, Head of Korea (Executive Director), who has over 20 years of experience at Texas Instruments and ON Semiconductor, overseeing sales of more than 200 million dollars.
DeepX has recently implemented rapid and aggressive strategies, such as establishing a local subsidiary in Taiwan, which has emerged as an 'AI hub.' The company has participated in the annual Computex exhibition in Taipei for the past three years, even before it gained widespread attention, and has already established a solid supply chain with local companies. The consecutive recruitment of prominent sales leaders is seen as a strategic move to increase global sales and market share through expanded distribution networks.
